Volunteering at the Longhorn 70.3 Half-Iron
The Triathlon Club was able to cheer on participants in the Half Iron and also help volunteer at the race!
With a good group of hard working members making the early morning trip (about 4am...) we were able to volunteer in the race with tasks ranging from body markings to transition bag organization!
It was hard work, but the team kept their spirits up and learned a lot! This opportunity gave us serious insight into how to run a successful race - now we can apply those lessons to the Texas Sprint Tri in the Spring!
End of the season party at Adrien's!
Well now that the Fall 2009 semester is coming to a close, the team thought it appropriate to get together to celebrate the numerous accomplishments of the team this year!
Our multi-talented and ever wise swim coach and team resource, Adrien was SO kind to volunteer her beautiful home for us to get together!
We were served a feast of stuffed chicken, spaghetti with homemade pasta sauce, mole, rice, french bread, macaroni, cheesecake, cookies... (and pancakes :) to name a few...
With a superb meal, friendly company, and great conversation- the night was a true success.
Until next semester!
Happy Holidays from the Texas State Triathlon Club!
